South Coast Bikes is not a normal working environment (whatever that means). It is not a grotty or elitist bike shop (it's not even a shop). It is a 21st century, forward looking, service led business.

If you think you know everything about bikes, if you're really into Mountain bikes but disdainful about Road bikes (or visa versa), if you're grumpy in the mornings, if you're really into one type of music (but not any others), then this is not the place for you.

On the other hand, if you:

• Can't remember the last time you used the word bored.
• Know why the Daily Mail is dangerous.
• Don't wear a tracksuit by default.
• See inefficiencies in day to day life, turn them over in your head and work out how they could be improved.

Then this may be the place for you.

Some experience with bikes is essential, but attitude and aptitude is more important. That's a can-do attitude by the way. If you take pride in everything you do, from the washing up to whatever it is that you're most passionate about in life then it's looking good. If you can't think of anything you're really passionate about best to leave it there.
